February 27th 2017 Galashiels, Scotland

February 27th 2017 Galashiels, Scotland

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a great week!

On Monday, Elder Giles and I, went to Rosslyn Chapel with Our District leader, Elder Bradshaw and his companion Elder Moore. It was a great time.

It was cool to see all the history. It was also cool to see where part of the Da Vinci code was filmed! The guide told us that the Da Vinci Code helped boost tourism and provided money to help in the restoration of the building!

Here are some pictures from my visit!

This week we were also able to see the Plochers. We had a great visit with them. Sister Plocher made some really good pasta. They live on a very picturistic part of the borders. They live on a farm.

We also saw some interesting pigs. I don't know what type but they look like a mix between a highland coo (cow) and a pig. I want One!!!

Check out this video I took of them

After dinner, President Plocher put on part of Prophet of the Restoration! It was a very enjoyable evening! I am grateful that they had us over!

The rest of the week we have been visiting some Less Active members that our Branch President wanted us to see. We have a few appointments with a few this week so hopefully that goes well!

We were only able to see Mark and Kate once this week because of Mark’s health. He is doing better, he is going to have heart surgery soon. Hopefully that goes well!

The weather was kind of lame this week. Mr Blue sky came out for a couple hours each day.

The rest of time was rain, snow and sleet… Yucky weather.

Elder Giles and I are going on a hike today because the weather is actually really good! I will try to get some good pictures!

I hope you all have a wonderful week

May the Force be with you

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week

This week we had a lot of traveling. We were up in Dalkeith for District meeting and exchanges. We also went to Edinburgh for interviews with President Donaldson.

I enjoyed my interview with President Donaldson. He is truly called of God. I see it in the way he teaches. I see the reflection of Christ's love in Him. I am grateful that he is my Mission president!

Mark’s health this week has not been so great. A couple weeks ago he passed out and the ambulance came to get him. He refused but it turns out he was having a heart attack.  Please keep him your prayers.  He has a great desire.  He didn't smoke at all last week.

It was a really weird week with all the travel.

This week we are going to the Plocher’s house for dinner. They are the American family that moved into the branch from Edinburgh Ward. They live in Stow, a small village outside of Galashiels. I’m excited to get to know them.

Today we are going to Dalkeith for PDay. We are going to rosslyn chapel. This is a famous chapel that is in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (both the movie and the book). I’m really excited because I love The Da Vinci Code!

I hope you all have a great week!

Guid cheerio the nou! (Goodbye in Scottish)
