July 10th 2017 Cumbernauld Scotland

July 10th 2017 Cumbernauld Scotland

Hello Everyone!

What a great it was. Many crazy and exciting things occurred

As you can see from the above picture, I have gathered all the rest of the stuff for my kilt getup! I am grateful for Ann Harrison for delivering the rest of the stuff for my kilt that I ordered from Amazon.

On P-day we went to several books shops. I was looking for a New Testament in Scots, which I acquired!

Elder Richards and I wore our kilts to John’s to have Haggis, Neeps and Tatties for Elder Richards last meal (Saturday evening).

I got my final moves call Saturday evening. I am ending my Mission here in Cumbernauld. My last companion will be Elder Calley from Minnesota. He was trained by Elder Watson (Who I served with in Galashiels for 3 transfers). He has been out since February/April this year. We are going to have a fun transfer together. I’ll be in Glasgow today because he is traveling over from Waterford in the Republic of Ireland!

Sunday morning we were in Glasgow because Elder Richards needed to take a train over to Edinburgh because he goes home today! I spent the day with Elder Kilgour back in Cumbernauld! He is moving from Dumbarton, The area I served in around a year ago!

I was grateful for the opportunity that President Donaldson gave me to Skype my Brother Dallin for his Mission Call Opening. He is assigned to Labor in the California Bakersfield Mission. He reported to the Provo MTC, October 25th. I am so excited for him. I know he will bless the people in his assignment in California!

Besides all of that exciting stuff, we were finding for most of the week. Elder Richards spent some time packing as well.

It's the final countdown. 6 more weeks left to work hard and serve the Lord. I pray that I can do that!

I hope you all have a wonderful week

Love,
Elder Joseph Udy

July 3rd 2017 Cumbernauld Scotland

July 3rd 2017 Cumbernauld Scotland

 Hello Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful week!

I was looking at my family tree. Its really interesting to see that there are ancestors from each of the areas I’ve served in. Its really cool to see the connection! I bought a Sinclair Hunting Tartan Tie when I went to Rosslyn Chapel earlier in the year. William Sinclair built the chapel. Well I was just looking through my tree and I found him. So that's cool!

Tuesday we had district meeting! We talked about determination and motivation. It can be hard sometimes if you have to do a lot of finding.

On Wednesday, I went on Exchanges with Elder Baklan in Airdrie! It went alright. Basically spent the whole day finding.

We saw John a couple of times this week. We had a very spiritual lesson with him on Baptism. I feel like he is really close!

We received a referral from Church Headquarters, Anthony and Margaret. They have been taught before but they referred themselves. They came to church yesterday, and I believe we are going to see them tonight!

Elder Richards goes home next week which is sad. I will receive my new and last companion next week!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and Happy early 4th of July!

Love,

Elder Joseph Udy
