May 1st 2017 Cumbernauld, Scotland
(Early
Morning in Glasgow for Zone Leadership Council and District Meeting)
Hello
Everyone!
I hope you
all had a wonderful week!
The weather
here in Central South Scotland was very beautiful!
On Monday we
went to Glasgow to have a Zone P-day. We played Basketball and Lawn Bowling
(Which is referred to bocce ball in the U.S.A, they just have a proper sport of
it over here). It was a fun time. Here are some pictures:

Well we had
a great week!
I think we had
a dinner appointment ⅘ out of 7 days in the week which was great! The members
are great!
Wednesday we
went to the Mcgregors. Well I was just thinking about Ewan Mcgregor (Obi-Wan) ,
what a last name! They have two boys and a girl! They made for us Sweet
potatoes, chicken and corn! We gave them a Book of Mormon to right their
testimony and give it to a friend!
Thursday
night we went to the Black’s. They have two girls and a boy. Sister Black made
us some really good Lasagna. Afterwards we went with Brother Black to take a
T.V to the dump.
Friday
before a dinner appointment, we taught a former investigator named Michael. He
was very open as we shared the Restoration! He committed to Baptism if he found
out it was true!
Afterwards
we went to a Dinner appointment at John Livingstone’s house, who is not a
member. He is very interested in the church. He has gone to church for a long
time but has not been Baptized. He is/used to be a Free-Mason. He made us Fish
and Chips. Yum! Then he gave us Dark Chocolate, 98% cocoa… Wow that was strong.
Saturday morning we helped out at the Peace
garden again! We dug and used a pick-axe (get past concrete) to be able to but
in some nice looking brick for the garden!
After we
attended a Baptism for Aaron Rylance, a boy who just turned 8. It was great to
see him be baptized. Elder Fehoko and I participated in the Confirmation which
was a wonderful experience. Conferring the gift of the spirit is a special
experience. I’m great for the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood which has been
restored to confer the Gift of the Holy Ghost and many other blessings!
Saturday
night we tried attempted to make breakfast for dinner but I messed up the
pancakes a bit but in the End they turned out alright!
Sunday for
combined Relief Society and Priesthood we talked about Patriarchal Blessings.
We talked about the importance of getting one! I’m grateful for my Patriarchal
blessing! Heavenly Father is truly loving and wants the best for us!
Afterwards
we taught a man named Matthew. He has been coming to church for the past few Sundays. He has been struggling with smoking and alcohol. We read with him the
Word of Wisdom out of Doctrine Covenants. We taught the word and the blessings
that come from following it! We told him that we will be here to help him
overcome his addictions!
What a great
week it was. We have been doing some finding to be able to come in contact with
the people who need the gospel!
Today we are
going to Glasgow to have a zone barbecue and play some sports. It should be
really fun!
I hope you
all have a wonderful week
Love,
Elder Joseph
Udy
